The brief was to create an elegant optical store in an exclusive environment. Sopron as one of the biggest national ambassadors of the baroque era clearly dictated the direction of the design. Without a doubt the obvious style to be chosen was neo-baroque. The floor space of the shop is rather small; this tiny room had to be filled with furniture and lights reflecting exclusivity. Since the reigning spirit outside on the streets is baroque, nothing else but baroque could be the prevailing style inside, too.
Homeliness was sent into exile. Meanwhile, pompousness and elegance took its place. The furniture in baroque style greatly supported this aspiration. The sales counter earned legs equivalent to the trestles of the display counter. The chest of drawers exhibiting an antique effect offers an abundant number of goods on its trays. The ornamental silver-framed mirror and silvery wall lamps with white lamp shades dominate; the customer reigns. The polished concrete floor, modern wall decorations, plasterboard solutions, suspended ceiling, display holes and cold white LED lights in the back part of the mirrors all create a brilliant contrast against the elements of the shop evoking the past.
