To create a wider space a wall had to be knocked down. A glass pane and a glass sliding door were installed to separate the kitchen from the dining room in a way that they still remained connected. One may be able to glance through the glass, however, the excessive steam and waft of cooking are prevented from leaving the kitchen. An absolutely minimalist kitchen was created with handle-free snow-white drawers and doors, a black sink and a grey work surface. The design of the bathrooms was based on a similar concept; the men’s bathroom bears greyish brownish shades, the lady`s one is composed of natural colours. When designing the bathroom the brief was to create space for the toiletries so that they can be easily put away. The washbasins fire one’s imagination. A black fireplace resembling art deco was placed in the living room. The living room was separated with large wooden lamellae from the hallway. The minimalist style of the flat is interrupted by the rebellious presence of some antique furniture.
