2017-Opening ceremony in the Apheresis Centre-Székesfehérvár
This centre is the 6th establishment of all „Plazma Pont” in Hungary, and the 7th is recently opened in Debrecen. The opening ceremony was held on 31 May in the centre (Székesfehérvár).
The importance of these establishments: there are some medicines that can not be made from the raw materials of a laboratory, such as blood plasma what is taken by a similar procedure of blood donation. From plasma they can produce a variety of medications that are usually used to cure severe life-threatening illnesses. So it happens just like blood donation, as blood is collected intermittently from the vein then a device separates the plasma and red blood cells are returned to the donor. During this procedure the client should just lean back and enjoy the repose. It can be repeated even in every 3 days.
- It’s voluntary and the company pays per transactions to a volunteer.
- Usually the centres have almost the same size. The capacity: 30 persons per hour who can donate.
Few words about the project:
On the first floor you can find the reception, the offices, and restrooms, and on the second level the donor rooms with the therapy chairs.
To create medical environment we applied the colour of white on the walls and on the floor to represent cleanliness and purity on both levels. Although the centre fulfils medical objectives and the serious hygienic demands apply significant restrictions, the brief was to design an environment which is less associated with the strict atmosphere of healthcare. Therefore the colors and shapes we designed lead to a friendly, playful interior. The therapy chairs bear strong colors, likewise does the ceiling in the donor room. The huge white pendants in the reception hall with their unique shapes drive very form of rigour far away from the building. The shape of the pendants resemble the shape of cells relating to the activity of the apheresis centre.
